Lance Winn, Partner

Lance Winn is a Partner in the firm’s Austin, Texas office. Mr. Winn brings a wealth of recruiting experience to his clients, having partnered in the growth of executive, management, and technical teams for 35 years. His clients include such brand names as Motorola, Broadcom, Spansion, LSI Logic, Freescale, International Rectifier, National Instruments, Telstra Corporation, Sematech, Polycom, Active Power, Pegasus Communications, Baxter Healthcare, Amgen, Merz Aesthetics, Shell Oil, and as well as early-stage organizations including Silicon Space Technology, Ineoquest, Crocus Technology, Crocus Nano Electronics, Heidelberg Instruments, Microstaq, Conformative Systems, Graviton, Cynergy Systems, MetroWerks, First Choice Software, and eBeam Devices. Mr. Winn has successfully placed high level functional Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D, Design, IT/IP, HR and Finance executives, in addition to conducting a number of CEO, COO, CFO and Board of Director searches. The depth of technology ranges from semiconductors, hardware, software, wireless, telecom, networking, internet security, power generation and storage. Mr. Winn’s expertise in Healthcare is in medical devices and pharmaceuticals where he has successfully placed executives in Research & Development, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Finance, Sales, Technical Services, Systems, etc.

Prior to forming Winn & Associates, Mr. Winn spent 20 years with Motorola, holding several leadership roles within the company’s global staffing organization, including his last assignment as the Corporate Staffing Director of North America. Mr. Winn has also worked at Korn/Ferry International as a Principal in the Advanced Technology Practice, with Greywolf Consulting as a Senior Search Consultant, and as a Partner with DHR International.

Mr. Winn is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation. He has earned both a BA and a MA degree from Arizona State University. After graduating from ASU, he was a history teacher and coached football and baseball. Lance and his wife Barbara reside in Austin, Texas. They have two sons, Brett and Eric. Brett graduated from Lamar University where he was captain of the baseball team, spent two years in the minor leagues, and is now a Human Resource Business Partner professional, while Eric graduated from Cleveland State University, was the captain of the men’s tennis team, is a USTA National Champion and currently is the Director of Tennis at a country club in North Carolina.
